"The image that's out there of me is this poised, classic woman, but that's so not the case," she says. Pretty women doing slapstick can be painful, but Valletta insists it wasn't such a stretch. "You can take your kids to this one." In January, she'll costar with Jackie Chan in The Spy Next Door, a family-friendly adventure flick.
Her next film "is the polar opposite," Valletta says.
